Hello,
I successfully upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 a few months ago. Everything is fine, but I have just noticed that I my microphones don't work! I never needed to use them before so that's why I didn't notice the problem.
I have an HP DV2130ea. My microphones are internal. I have tried adjusting all the settings but nothing happens.
Any ideas, please?
Thanks!!

Looking through HP website for your model it seems they do not have W7 drivers for your model, one thing to try is to go to device manager and look out for a yellow exclamation mark against any drivers, uninstall the driver , reboot your computer see if ti finds a new driver, hth,Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm WELSH. .0

If you can't find an official driver then http://www.innovative-sol.com/drivermax/ is worth a try. It has the option to identify unknown hardware. The free version allows you one free driver download a day. I've used it successfully several times.0

See if you can find an HP Vista driver for the microphone and try that - it may work...0

you'll be missing the driver, try the above plus might be worth running windows update and looking in the 'optional' updates section for anything sound related.....0
