PPI Charges on Credit Cards

Hi

I have just successfully been repaid PPI on my egg credit cards, and I am awaiting a response from Capital One.
I have had a few CC in the last ten years with Royal Bank of Scotland, Virgin and Co-operative bank and wonder if
1. Is it worth tackling these banks?
2. How do I get hold of my account numbers from these banks.
All information would be of great help.

    Hi there

Good luck with your reclaims and welcome

You can try by asking the bank first, they may still hold them, but normally they will only go back 6 years, worth a try though cos you will never know if you do not ask.

Any old banking statements, monthly statements should enclose any account numbers of loans and credit card accounts, or another way to retrieve any of your information is by requesting a SAR (Subject Access Request), they have 40 days to comply, and you enclose £10 postal order or cheque payment, they should send all they hold on you.
SAR template letter with details here:

For this request give also give them as many details as you can for over the years you had the finance, such as full name, any name changes, full address, old addresses, date of birth and so on, this will make it easier for them to track down your info.

Hope this helps, good luck and ask for help anytime.;)
