IS IT AGAINST THE LAW??.. 11yr Old At School 2hrs Daily For 2Yrs?

Hi.. Really sorry if i have posted in wrong place..

Please could someone help me and give me some advice?

IS this AGAINST THE LAW???? It is for me to keep my child off??

To cut a long story short!,,

My 11yr old son has ADHD and also takes medication.
.
He moved from first school to Secondary school September 2008.

He has a STATEMENT OF EDUCATION NEEDS for 32/34 hours per week..

The Problem i have is in 2008 he was only in school a few days and got excluded for a week!
He then got sent home on 2 other days.

After 3weeks of starting school .. There was a meeting a school... They said my son was not settling very well so they were going work with us to get him settled in...
So an Agreement was made for a short period around 2/3 weeks at the most they said at meeting.
1..He was to start school at 9.30am... (not at the same time as other children)

2..Work one 2 one with to try and encourage him with reading a writing..

3..To be collected from school at 10.30am for the first few days?.. (this went on for 5weeks)

4..After 5 weeks he went to 10.50am?

5..After Easter holidays 2009 he went untill 11.50am.

6..ETC...SEPTEMBER 2009 he started to stay untill 12.15pm?

7..He is not in a class with other kids. (In library with helper..Printing pictures and coloring in) He cant read or write to start with!! Should they not be trying to help him do this?

SCHOOL SAID AT A MEETING IN AUG 2009. ~* THEY COULD NOT MEET HIS NEEDS?????*~

But have not done anything to help me in the right direction to someone who can help meet his needs?

I have rang loads and loads of solicitors but they cant seem to help me..As they deal with attendance the other way round and say it is wrong?

He is granted a 32/34? hour a week statement. Is this correct?
I am waiting for county hall ringing me back still after 4 weeks.

IS THIS AGAINST THE LAW??
It is if i was keeping him off school.

IF ANYONE CAN TELL ME ANYTHING AT ALL THAT COULD HELP ME???
I WILL BE EVER SO GREAT FULL.

I think this would probably be better on the Families Board, where there are a few 'my child has special needs' threads.

I would suggest you contact IPSEA, and your local Parent Partnership (google).

Are there any other Secondary Schools in the area? If so, is it worth you making an appointment to visit, to see if they would be more inclined to offer your son the support he needs? I wouldn't, at this stage, worry about transport to and from school.

Is the school named in his statement? has he seen an Ed Psych? Are the school involved with outside agencies?
