CD capacity

I bought some cheapy blank CD's from the supermarket, the capacity says 700mb, how many average length songs should I be able to burn onto it? I've only done 2 and it says it's full. I've got no idea about mb's. I can get loads of photos on the the same size cd but not music it seems.

ive just burnt some music onto cds and the cds ive used are 700mb/80min and some of the cds have got like 25-30 mins left on each cd but i think the recording quality that you choose has an affect

How big are the files you wrote, if they total less than 700MB, then it is probably because you finalised the disk, leaving most of the capacity unused and unusable.

You should be able to get 15 - 20 songs on a cd.
