Does anyone know of a brand of lemonade diet or nondiet that does not contain Aspartame. I used to buy R whites but they have changed over to using it now. Can anyone help?
Nothing to see here, move along.

I think the Shweppes (Non-diet) we used to buy from Costco really cheap for a pack of six, didn't contain it. I say this, 'cos I hate Aspartame, and can taste even the slightest hint of it in any drink, and I liked the Schweppes stuff.

Sorry to disappoint you but Schweppes does contain aspartame and saccharin.
On a slightly different topic can I suggest anyone buying squash should look at Rocks organic. It comes in lemon, blackberry or orange and doesn't contain any nasties unless you count sugar, and at the end of the day at least that's a more natural ingredient. I know it costs a bit more but it's really concentrated so you only need to use a little bit.
PS - no connection to either company!!0 -
Not just lemonade, everything seems to have it in. Hi-Juice seems to be exempt though, sorry its not much help....another happy bug.........sorry,blogger embracing the simple life0

almost everything seems to have it in these days, horrible foul-tasting stuff
anyway, Lidl do a lemon (sometimes labelled lemon & lime) drink in a green bottle that has no artificial sweeteners in it. they used to have it in a 2lt size, but I've only seen it in packs of 6 smaller bottles lately. it tastes very similar to 7-up or Sprite (they used to be free of the stuff, but haven't had any lately so can't vouch for them now)

PS Lidl's tonic water has no artificial sweeteners in either (the branded non-diet ones do have them)0 -
Whats Aspartame then?0

Nnnnnnnggggghhhh. Trying very hard not to start an off topic vent here.... BUT.... Has any body had any luck finding a childrens paracetomol (or ibuprofen) suspension that is free of artificial sweeteners, especially aspartamine.
BTW, not lemonade, but, if memory serves, Orangina is relatively 'nasty' free.
Coincidentally Orangina is BOGOF in Tesco (turns around 3 times and spits with her eyes closed) at the moment

I like Barr's lemonade, it's the only one I can drink and think it may be free of the evil stuff, their Irn Bru , the normal one certainly is. Only problem, it's hard to find! I buy it in Somerfield if that's of any help. Don't have any in at the moment to check for you.0
