Bads comms/slow dispatch what feedback to leave?

I ordered an item on ebay that I desp needed so the 'normally dispatched within 24 hours' appealed to me so I bought and paid straight away. Five days later I noticed it was not marked as dispatched so decided to contact the seller for an update - I politely explained I was not chasing for delivery as I know royal mail can take longer, and that I only wanted to confirm if/when it was dispatched so I can keep an eye out for it. I explained I was desp for the item for my business and I was sorry to contact them after only 5 days but just needed to check it had gone off ok. Got no reply. Emailed a further two times over the next few days - again being very polite and explaining I only wanted to know when/if it had gone off and what postal method so I knew when to expect it (said again I knew royal mail can take time so was not chasing for delivery, only dispatch confirmation). Again these messages were ignored. Item was dispatched 8 days after payment and a standard ebay email sent. I am now loathe to leave positive feedback due to the bad coms but dont know if its bad enough to leave neutral - am I over-reacting to this? The item arrived after 13 days so was not a massive wait but was not anywhere near the 24 hours the quoted in auction and was more than the 7 days ebay say to post in.
