We're not having a sit down meal, so I am avoiding flower centre pieces really as I don't think it's necessary and they cost SO much.
However, we are having a buffet early evening, and the venue is setting out 8 round tables for us for people to eat at.
Need ideas for how to decorate these tables; of course the obvious are tealights/confetti I suppose, but just wondered what other ideas people can throw into the mix which would "fill" the tables a little - they're going to be a bit bare otherwise!! I don't want it to look like I haven't made any effort at all!
Any ideas appreciated.......

What about cheap vases or glass bowls filled with something 'funky' to match your colours or theme? I've done it with sweets in the past and found that most were eaten through the evening so not wasted at all
Another option could be fruit (I've a photo of one somewhere) or cristmas baubles (depending on time of year).
Using a square vase ads another dimension too.0 -
Another option is to wrap boxes in paper that compliments your colour scheme - this version is cheap as anything, cos all you need is some empty boxes, some nice wrap and a bit of ribbon.....scatter a bit of confetti around it and Bob is your mum's brother.....Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! We're having bolsius candles (candles in coloured jars), 4 on each round table and then a few scatter crystals in complementing colours around them.0

Michael Dark florists (online) are really cheap. We are having fishbowls half filled with crystal accents and with a submersible light. Then we are putting a silk flower on top. They will cost about £8.00 in total each.Became Mrs Lawson on May 1st 2010

At our reception, we had these vases, filled with pink water and a couple of pink gerbera, alongside these lanterns with white or pink tealights - all standing on one of these mirror tiles.

I think it looks more expensive that it actually was - well, I hope it did anyway LOL0 -

We're having a 'table bouquet' of balloons - 3 helium balloons at different heights. The company are coming to set up in the morning (or u can do it yourself... but you have to buy helium canisters) and its costing £5 a table. And we're also having table crystals and table confetti x:money:Trying to get debt-free:money:0
