Viewed a house i really liked, it has some commercial bulidings attatched to it that were formally a shop & garage but not been in use for several years. In the home report it states that the walls between the residential and commercial are not fire proofed and require to be upgraded. Would that only apply if i wanted to use the premises commercially again?
Sounds expensive, anybody know much about this?
Thanks.

The Home Report assumes you'll be occupying the place as a resident, and will be provided to your lender as their survey - will you get a mortgage on it if you don't upgrade the walls? You need to ask your lender, not us.0

Well i'd just like to know if anybody has had experience of a similar situation and if it turned out to be very expensive or not, harmless enough question.
It quite clearly states in the report the premises are suitable for mortgage purposes.0
