Egg credit card

I am trying to find out why my egg card interest rate is 29.9% - cant get any sense from these people and they wont provide a signed credit agreement - any advice????

Interest rate are variable so unfortunately they are allowed to increase/decrease as they wish but under new rules now, next time they want to increase it you have a choice to close the account but pay the account at your current rate. Would be best to move the debt somewhere else...

thanks, i have b/card platimun at 14.9%, credit limit of £6000 not high enough, do i move half of egg balance to b/card and have half on each (egg), not keen on having loads of credit cards though.....

yes move as much as you can to your b/card and only pay min set up DD to do this
then pay as much as you can each month to the egg as its double the interest rate

Do you want to see the credit agreement? have you done a formal request by letter enclosing a £1 postal order for the fee?

Have Egg put the rate up in the last week or so? If so you can opt out of the increase following the instructions on the email.
