id seriously consider by a reputable internet security package like mcaffee or norton or a hardware one like olly said. You might also consider investing in a copy of microsoft office ( around £50) it will definately come in handy whatever you use the computer for.
Like what I said? click thanks!:rotfl: :rotfl:

No need to spend money on Office!

    Get openoffice

Similarly, get the free security programs as advised above (unless you have money to throw away!).

Thanks alot guys...it came this morning...so later on i am going to enjoy how to fix it up together...i haven't a clue..i am sure it can't be that hard...

Before you start installing new stuff, take a moment to see if it already has some security pre-installed. Don't connect to the internet/broadband to do this

There's no point in installing another anti virus and/or firewall application if there's some already installed. They are likely to conflict with eachother and you'll create more problems before you start.

Once the PC is fired up and working, I'd be inclined to take a Ghost image of the PC's delivery state. However - again - check to see what restore options the supplier has shipped with the PC.
    Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac ;)
