Morning all.....managed to grab a couple of hours sleep last night, been in to see the little guy this morning & he's still poorly they're trying still to keep him as warm as they can but soon as everythings turned off he's back to freezing cold...his blood sugars are still all over the place as well so they say he'll be on special care for a little while longer yet....mummy however is going crazy as she still hasnt seen him in the flesh, she's still in a fair bit of pain BUT they managed to get her up & walking late last night...so told her to take each day as it comes & the pains will get better day by day

I cant put into words how I feel about all the kind comments emails & PM's i've had...dont think i've EVER cried as much as I have the last few days

The only advice I can give for Nicky is that she takes her painkillers when offered whether she wants them or not, and to stay as mobile as possible as the stiffness is worse than the pain!!! I can remember my section last year as clearly as yesterday - and im having another beg of september.

Little Evan is sooo cute, congratulations to you both again.

hi Phil glad you managed to get a bit of sleep. sorry to hear Evan's poorly, he's in safe hands though and will be right as rain in no time. must be frustrating for Nicky - you'll all be home as a family before you know it

I am so pleased for you and nicky:)

You must be running on adrenyln and need some sleep.

My heart is with you at this wonderful time and I am privilaged to have such a good friend. I am proud to know you an you will make a fantastic dad. tell nicky i send my best congratulations and wish you all the best in your new adventure.

Thanks Mummy....i've told her with pain killers etc she's a pretty high pain threshold best of times but this has floored her I keep trying to tell her its a major thing to go through BUT she'll get through it day by day...plus the morphine drip helps!

(I printed off this thread & facebook pages to take & show her last night & she cried non stop for a while!!) thankfully they let mobiles on the ward so i'll update facebook & email (you know who) with updates when I can as my bloomin blackberry for some reason plays up on this page
