Sky messing up payments

Options
Hi,
Upgraded to sky + a few months ago and the payments should be £52.50 coming out of bank but had a letter through saying the first payment would be £55 and then £44 a month. The letter say's confirmation of direct debits, so what I need to know is am I in my rights to say I want to pay this price as that what the letter states?
I am getting fed up with ringing them as they over charged for the premiership channel and took £100 from my card and wouldn't put it back on just said we would be in credit which hasn't come off our account yet.
Thanks for any advice
Jen

So is it just the first month that is over the price you should be paid? If the letter says its confirmation of what you are paying then yes you should get it at that price - but if I were you I wouldnt contact them as they may try wriggling out of it - just check what amount goes out each month.

With regards to the overcharge - contact your card issuer and ask them to do a chargeback and refund your money to the card

Hi the £52.50 came out today. So can I ring them and say I have had the confirmation letter saying £44 even though its an error?

If its to your benefit I would probably leave it - then if or when the next payment comes out and its wrong you contact them then and say that you have a letter of confimration about the prices and they have overcharged you

I rang them and they said to ignore the letter as the price was going up anyway to £53.50, as we have multiroom as well. I said so it makes no difference that you sent this confirmation letter and she said no.
    Just my flippin luck.

Well surely they will have to send you a letter notifying you of the change in price? Make sure they do and if they dont....
