Just go into help and check for updates if it hasnt already updated automatically

Its just a small update, do as above, and restart firefox and it will install.

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/07/27/firefox_security_update/

The Mozilla Foundation has released an updated version of Firefox following the discovery of multiple security vulnerabilities involving the popular browser software.
The flaws create a means for hackers to conduct cross-site scripting or to otherwise seize control of vulnerable systems.

    Good post.

However just a word of caution.

I personally give FF updates a couple of days and then look at the FF Forum to see if the update has caused any problems as it has a few times in the past. Problems usually get resolved in a few days and its better than crashing your browser . Your urgency to update depends of course on your browsing habits and what you use your browser for .

True you sometimes find problems with extensions for afew days like roboform etc. That was updated a few days back and works fine. If some extensions dont work try this extension I think it was sra that told me about it :)

This extension adds a few extras useful to those that regularly test nightly builds of Firefox, Thunderbird and the Application Suite.
This extension now works on branch builds of Firefox and Thunderbird.
    Features:
    • Allows you to install incompatible extensions.
    • Allows you to force the application to believe an extension is compatible with the current version and enable it.
    • Allows copying the build identifier and a list of installed extensions to the clipboard.
    • Adds a toolbar button to let you insert the build identifier into the current text box (Not supported in the Application Suite).
    • Lets you customise the title bar to include the build identifier and other information.
    • Provides talkback integration allowing you to quickly view recent incidents as well as a sidebar that shows all incidents still on your machine (you may be surprised at just how many there are).
    • Adds a simple interface for parsing nspr log files for leaks.

Then once installed restart firefox and go into extensions and click on bottom of a new windows showing extensions B]make all compatable[/B

So far all is working including 17 extensions.

    Hiya :hello:

I got the firefox update messege earlier but havent clicked for installation yet. It may have been the last time (or one before) that firefox uodated it wiped all my bookmarks out.

I dont want this to happen again, so can I please ask -

    * Does it depend on the size of the update and whats being updated?

    * Is there a really easy way to restore my bookmarks that i'm being really thick about?? :o

    Many thanks

Sometimes is best to uninstall and resinstall. Try the full version Urban spirit

    Thanks Poppycat

Will uninstalling 1.5.0.2 and reinstalling 1.5.0.5 wipe my bookmarks as it would be a total uninstall???

    Thanks
