LV Car Claim, Windscreen replacement & Autoglass

I am a first time driver and this is my first time claim (if there's ground to claim). I am fully comp with Liverpool Victoria and I had a chip on my windscreen. I originally booked Autoglass to come and fix it for free. But the night before the chip developed into a five CM crack overnight because of frosty conditions and AG told me they would charge £75 for the work which has been done. I'd like to know whether I can reclaim this from LV. I am not sure whether I can as I've got conflicting versions.
 Links are a man's best friends.com

I'm with LV too, last year I had to pay AG directly with cash when they replaced my windscreen. I had assumed I was covered but the cover is for repair only and not replacement.0

The £75 is the excess you agreed to pay for windscreen claims, and you cannot claim it from your insurer.
So unless an identifiable third party is responsible for causing the original damage who you can pursue, then you have to swallow the charge.0 -
Some insurers are now charging £10 for a repair which used to be free. A replacement has always carried an excess which varied depending on insurer.0
