I am collecting a 2 years old toyota verso this weekend. the dealer offered to apply diamondbrite paint treatment for around £200..i was reluctant at the begining as I know that you can buy the stuff off ebay for £10-15 bit i am not sure that i will do a good job if i do it myself. I read in toyota owners forums that the verso paint is very thin and that it scratches easily and that's why I am looking at diamondbrite to protect the paint...any ideas please

  • No, its a waste of money. You can easily do it yourself in an hour.
  • Turtle wax professional sealant is £7.50 for a litre which will last seeral years easily and is easy to apply, even easier than waxing. make sure the paint is spotless before you apply it, apply it with a piece torn off a grout sponge, do 1 panel at a time leave a minute them buff off with a microfiber (cheap from asda)
makes the car much easier to wash which is an added bonus. mine lasts 4 months an application, doing 1000+ miles a week and sometimes getting a drivethru wash, on my wifes car it lasts over 6 months.

That's a bargain price, you should go ahead with it - DB is the best you can get.

You can get all these car treatments on Ebay for a tiny fraction of what it costs, so your paying a hugely inflated price for them to do the elbow grease.
