Parking in London at the Natural History museum

If you go at the weekend then Imperial College normally open their car park to the public. I think it costs about £5 or £8. The entrance to the car park between the NHM and the science museum. If you want free parking then it is available but about 10-15 minutes walk away. If you do plan to use the Imperial car park then it's best to get there early because they do get full quickly. The man without a signature.0

I think I parked at Rutland Gate near the junction with Kensington Road - this was on a Sunday. All the parking bays around the NHM were residents all day and I had to drive as far as Rutland Gate to find somewhere to park. The man without a signature.0

I parked about 5 minutes walk away when we went on a Sunday. Think it was a dodgy corner opposite Lambo0

You can park for free along Exhibition Road (just past the museum) on a Sunday. If this is busy, carry on to the end of the road, turn left and then take the first left. There are usually a number of free spaces behind the Royal Albert Hall.
If they are both busy, you could try a road called Manson Place (SW7). It's about a 5 minute walk from the Museum and it was were we parked last time we visited.
We've been up to London 4 or 5 times on a Sunday over the last 18 months and always managed to park for free.0 -
On sunday you can park on single yellow line for free (and even on Cromwell Road right in front of the NHM on single red line, I see cars parked there every sunday blocking the whole left-hand lane; you do have to arrive early enough though as the spaces are taken very quickly). Exhibition Rd is very busy right now because of the road work (last time I went past there - couple of days ago - they even closed down the whole southbound carriage). You might have better luck on Queengate's (Queengate's Mews) as it is usually quieter there.
On saturday your only chance for free parking is after 1:30pm in resident's bay or pay-and-display bay (the area around NHM is controlled until 1:30pm on saturday, you can look this up on rbkc website). Do not park on single yellow line (before 6:30pm). Again try Queengate's or Queengate's Mews. Before 1:30pm I think impossible to park for free.
Of course always check the signs where/when you park to make sure there are no other restrictions!0
