It would be difficult to get an average for the past few years though, as it would be skewed by the huge dip. Still, can pull it off rightmove for you if you want? I think I can do it for the EAs in my area.Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0

Can you define that is that the average when 100%+ mortgages were available.
That average is no longer here.

100 - 125% mortgages? Because that's what this "normality" was based on before the crash.
I don't think that's coming back.0 -

Would just be interested in the figure really. I haven't got a set timeframe in mind. Just something in which we can compare to this figure that's being used.0 -

100% mortgages would make absolutely no difference to the house hunters registered.
Nice try. (Somehow I feel this is going to go round in circles, so I'm going to take "absolutely no difference" back, and say "extremely minimal difference").0 -
GD: Average sales per month for our branch (small independent in small town) is about 5, with roughly 30 people registering for property per month. January this year-total anomaly, our branch has been open for 2 years and we had our record sales month with 8 sales in January. 62 people registered for property.
Gone worryingly quiet at the moment, March number of applicants registered so far is about 12 I think. Does that sort of answer your question?
ETA: Countrywide have been there for 10 years and I think they generally do about 7 or 8 sales a month.Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0 -

Definately does, thanks.
Interesting that it jumped so much in January and that was your record sales month! Would have thought it would have been November / December.0 -

A lot of people are going down the route of selling properties by themselves, online agents or the new fixed price marketers rather than the traditional Estate Agents, would this have any impact on the figures.princessamy86 wrote: »GD: Average sales per month for our branch (small independent in small town) is about 5, with roughly 30 people registering for property per month.
