Travelling From Barcelona Airport To Port Aventura

Can anyone give me any information (other than car hire) to get from the airport to Salou. We're staying at a hotel 15 mins from Port Aventura so info on a train or bus quite near the theme park would be great.

Do you mean Barcelona airport or do you mean Reus ?

There are no shortage of buses from Salou to Port Aventura, and we travelled everywhere on them from our base in Cap Salou

We did this a couple of years ago. We had to get a train from Barcelona airport to the city centre (the train station is connected to the airport by a walkway) then another train which stops at Port Aventura then Salou. It took about one and a half hours I think. Quite a pleasant journey except the central train station was very busy.

Just got back from La Pineda (Near Salou) yesterday 26/7.

The train from Barcelona Sants Station to Salou stops at Port Aventura but it was very busy and my partner's purse was stolen from her bag on the train. You get jostled a lot whilst people get on and off the train and with 2 kids and 3 cases we were distracted for a few seconds and that's all it takes.

Whilst waiting at Salou station for the train back to Barcalona we saw a chap have his wallet stolen from his backpocket.

Several others at our hotel had similar tales to tell.

But the journey itself is ok with great sea views along the way. Just keep all valuables hidden away.

Cheapest train was 2 Euros from Barcelona to Salou - next cheapest 6.25 Euros.

Thanks Wolfman, sounds ideal. Could you advise where Barcelona Sants Station is? City Centre or near Barcelona airport.

ps We'll definitely keep all purses and wallets hidden away!

Barcelona Sants is in the city, the train from the airport will go underground, it is a big station with different types of train, keep your eyes peeled out of the window for the nameboard. A lot of people get off here. I don't think you'll miss it.
