How long does a Maternity Allowance claim take to process?

Hi Guys,
As in the title really,
My wife started maternity leave a few weeks ago, But in waiting for pay slips to come through we have just posted off the form 7 days ago.
Does anyone know roughly how long they take to process? In the Midlands area if that makes any difference.

My OH's MA form was received by JobCentrePlus MOU on 25th Feb (sent recorded so we know it got there) and she is still waiting to hear from them. I have read on other forums that it can take weeks (and weeks and weeks) to process.
It may be worth giving them a ring after 2 or 3 weeks. My OH is going to ring them today, when she get's out of bed :-)0 -
OUCH! Thats not good at all!
I think i'll give them a call and see what they quote, I'm guessing 11 weeks. :eek:War does not decide who is right, It decides who is left.0 -
My OH rang up the MOU today and they said she was going to get MA and that it would be sorted out next week. So that will be a 4 week turnaround; if it is sorted next week.0
