Working for Car Insurance company whilst BR

just wanted to state that I told them all about the BR - and they were ok with it, they offered me the job... So it must be ok,,, have since been discharged..

things seem to be looking up,,

Im sorry but this is incorrect.

Under FSA compliance any member of staff who has delegated authority must undergo a fit and proper persons test. Being br doesnt necessarily mean you will fail this but the FSA would not ellaborate any further as they say they would take each case very much on merit.

Even as a manager for an insurance broker I do not have delegated authority and thus do not need to go through fit and proper persons test and as my contract holds nothing about br my job is very much safe (ive also had conversations with my directors to double check).

My Director has had conversations with the FSA on this matter on my behalf and with our own external compliance company so I know this information to hold true.
