Redundancy insurance - charging for T&C's??!!

Hello Fellow MSE's!
Second time I've used the forum, hope someone can help.
My partner has redundancy cover insurance which kicks in after 60 days. She's been paying into this scheme (and never claimed) for 12 years. Managed by Jubilee Solutions, underwritten by Premier Writers.
For the first time she is having to utlise this policy as unfortunately my partner has been made redundant. Now she is clear of her gardening leave period she has put in a claim.
Its only now, at the point we are trying claim on this policy, that we realise how useless they are. We had a slight whiff of slippery-ness last year when she decided to up her cover and it look 4 weeks of relentless phone calls to get them to even send her a copy of her revised schedule!
Now we are in need they are showing their true colours. Not to mention the ridiculously detailed information she has to provide every two weeks as proof of her job searching.
Anyway, the point is she has asked for a copy of the terms and conditions of the policy as she doesn't have it in full (she realised that they never sent her a full set).
They have asked for £25 for the pleasure of receiving these T&C's - can they do that?:(

The short answer is yes they can! Ive delt with Premier before and they were nothing but helpful and had done what i needed within days.0

That is not strictly true as it may vary by each policy. Check what is in the terms and conditions around fees. It is very unusual for this type of policy to charge for this type of thing.
They are not an established player in this market so can't comment about their reputation.0 -

Difficult to check T&C in this case though.I am not a cat (But my friend is)0 -
Good point! But seriously though, ask for copies of the original T&C's (even if you have to pay for them) to see the fee is clearly outlined.0
