in Ebay, auctions, car boot sales, post & parcels
So my Dad has been selling unwanted stuff on ebay to make some extra money.
He had a computer part that he was selling and asked my Mum to go and see how much it would cost to send to Latvia (of all places) as someone wanted to know. My Mum only went and sent it.. well we thought, how silly that was.
Yet now theyve realised that person didnt even buy it! So she has sent it... and they arent the buyer. So now have to tell the buyer what has happened. Sigh, I told my Dad to stop letting her do anything as she is obviously too stupid for ebay! :rotfl:
So they have to refund and have no item now!

    So did she just make an address up? You only get a postal address when someone buys something

    No, someone asked how much it would cost to send to them. My Dad asked her to check, she didnt check the price, she sent it! lol

    Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

    Quite! Until the OP enlightens us, then this is the only option I can see.
    What is happening to the English Language? These are not isolated, but repeated every day.
    'Definate', 'Aswell', 'Rediculous', 'Payed'...and the best of all 'Could Of'. How can anyone think that 'Could Of' can actually mean anything. You may as well write 'Could Zebra' for all the sense it makes.

    I'm having a TSFE day today, buyer says it didn't 'arrive' and I can't find my POP :-(

    Ive figured it out for them now.
    The reason she sent it to latvia is because the address on the Ebay email says that address. The buyer sent a message 10 days later to say send it somewhere else and his address on paypal now shows a UK address? Not sure if it was the latvia one before but dont know what to do?

    There is nothing you can do, the only address that you get seller protection with is the one that paypal give in the 'OK to send'box.
