Getting on the Ladder

Absoloutley! Thanks for the advise - everything round here is extortionate unless its about to fall apart! Its actually Haslemere and Liphook side we are looking at so not as expensive as Guildford but still convenient. Re living in the sticks I'm very used to it and I wouldn't get lonely at all; I'd much prefer it to living in the town! I've seen a couple of lovely things on the internet today which on paper we could afford, its just going through the boring bit of making sure we can afford all the other bits as well, which really we can't. A lot of non-money savers are saying to me as long as you can afford the essentials then go for it and work it out as you go as that is what they have done... I'm just trying to be sensible!!!
Re the horse share idea; I realise its pathetic but I can't do it! I'm a bit of a control freak and I know I'd be a nightmare; I wouldn't trust anyone else to do it to my standards!0 -
I have mentioned this in another thread, have you thought about buying on a Shared Ownership or Affordable housing scheme?0
