I have had four texts at £2.50 at time from a thieving scamming company called bobmobile.co.uk.
I never asked for their crap and did not subscribe to their crap but they say I did and tough luck you are not getting your money back
Thieving scamming ********
Who can I complain to, to cause them the most grief.

they're part of a group called Guerilla Mobile based in germany. the name seems quite apt really.
one place you can report them to, is scambusters at the office of fair trading.
getting your money back is going to be very difficult though, i would imagine.

I've had similar, and it is galling that they can get away with it, just by picking your number at random.
I'm afraid the root cause is that the government has allowed the development of a mobile network billing system which is completely biased towards operators making money, irrespective of how legal or otherwise their operation. Where else do you get a system where someone can simply charge you for something without the hint of a legal contract?
Your official port of call for a complaint is the renamed ICSTIS, which is now called PhonepayPlus. Don't expect much from them though - my experience is that they are toothless, and inclined to come up with works of fiction to excuse their operators' thieving.
Although the scammers that caught you are based outside the UK, I think PhonepayPlus should still be responsible, as they are (effectively) operating within the UK.0
