Ebay telling me to post item, paypal telling me not to!

Not sure what to do.
I sold a CD to someone in Germany last Monday. We're having slight communication difficulties due to the language barrier. At first they said they would send a cheque - I was fine with that. Then they contacted me a few days later to ask for my bank account details. I wasn't happy giving them out, so asked fopr paypal or a cheque. No response. I sent another message a couple of days later asking if they still wanted the CD. Again no answer.

Just logged into ebay and it says I need to post one item. But when I click on paypal, it says payment "pending" - but without the usual estimates for when funds will clear like I've had with ECheques.

Do I post or wait? Don't want to get negative feedback but I've no idea whether the buyer has paid or not!

Don't post while it says pending - ignore eBay, pay attention to Paypal.

It's a shame you turned down bank transfer - it's a fantastic way to get paid - German ebayers use it a lot.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

I am envious that you were offered a bank transfer, I offer it to everyone and no one will use it.

Oops, guess I made a mistake there then! I was just worried about giving out my details because of our translation difficulties

Why worry about giving out details? Those same details are written on every cheque you give to anybody.
What is happening to the English Language? These are not isolated, but repeated every day.
'Definate', 'Aswell', 'Rediculous', 'Payed'...and the best of all 'Could Of'. How can anyone think that 'Could Of' can actually mean anything. You may as well write 'Could Zebra' for all the sense it makes.

People in Germany really don't like paypal. OH buys a lot of the cartoon jigsaws from Germany and they rarely accept paypal (don't know if they have to now?) They could always send you cash (I know you shouldn't but we have sent euros across on more than 1 occasion and even received change!)
;) If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!

Any idea why ebay are telling me to post when the payment is still pending though? It doesn't usually do this.

As far as Ebay is concerned the buyer has bought. They do not care whether you have been paid or not. Paypal on the otherhand are the company that offer you seller protection. If they say NOT to send, then DON'T SEND. Simples.

Yeah but usually when a payment from paypal is pending, ebay says that you're awaiting payment, not you have an item to post.

    Oh well. I'll just wait.
