Glass gas hob

I'm in the market for a new gas hob and have chosen a Teka CGX 70. This is variously described as, "gas on a glass hob", "bevelled tempered glass" and "crystal surface with ceramic treatment".

I have some concerns since reading the manual which gives the following warnings:
* When cooking with a griddle pan, stoneware pots or pans which reflect heat downwards, you must use the pan support supplement, otherwise the excessive temperature which is reflected downwards may damage the hob glass or the burners.
* Do not use cast iron pans directly on the pan support as they reflect excessive heat towards the hob.

* Burner efficiency is lost when the pan support supplement is used.
Griddle pans and cast iron pots are two of my favourite utensils. Also, the centre burner is for another favourite, my wok, which by it's very nature gives off intense heat. It seems that on the one hand they give you a wok burner and then tell you not to get the pans too hot.
My question is, does anyone have experience with this type of cooker that can give advice please? Are Teka trying to cover their backsides with these warnings or should I genuinely be concerned?
Any help/advice greatly appreciated thanks. :)
