Declined a new credit card with 0% balance transfer!

No problem at all. My circumstances did change, only because the mortgages came to the end of the fixed rate period, so my mortgage repayments reduced and I was able to put more towards the credit cards, so it got down to £9000 because of the tarting.
Now I’ve just got this last bit to shift.
But great news, I tried the cards I already had and Halifax said I could transfer back to them with 6.9% LOB and 3% fee. I decided to go for this because now I don’t need to worry about future transfers, I can cancel the old cards and concentrate on putting as much extra money I get towards it and paying off more than I would if i had taken a loan. Hope that's the right move!
Thanks again for all your valuable advice!0 -
Good result. Keep an eye out for 0% offers that you can use to shift part of the balance across and save yourself even more interest. Only shift across to the 0% card what you can clear before the 0% promotion ends. Even with a 3% BT fee, you'll still save money over leaving the full amount at 6.9% LOB."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0
