H & M leather bag

Hi guys, I'd really appreciate any advice.
Last summer I bought a black leather bag from H & M in the sale. It was £30 reduced from £60. I wouldn't normally pay that much for a bag but I thought I would use it a lot, it would go with everything and would carry a lot of stuff!
Though the bag and strap are leather, there are metal clasps at the end of the strap to keep it attached to the bag. It's quite difficult to describe, but I might be able to post a picture later, if anyone thinks it might be useful, and if I can work out how to do it!
Anyway, I DID use the bag a lot (not every day, but frequently) for two or three months, until the screw attaching the clasp at one end of the bag fell out. I had the bag lying in my room for about two months, until I had a lightbulb moment and took it to the cobbler's - he was able to put a new screw in for only £4 and I was happy.
Alas, a few weeks later part of the metal attachment at one side of the strap fell out. My friends and I spent ages hunting around for it in the middle of a car park, eventually we found all the pieces and I was able to put it back together. A few days later the same thing happened to the other side of the bag.
I put up with it for a while as I really like the bag, but the same thing kept happening (it's been about four times now) and I'm sick of it.
I could just throw the bag out, but I'm annoyed that I paid £30 for a bag (£60 at full price!) that I've effectively had only 6-7 months use out of (as it was lying at the bottom of my wardrobe for a couple of months), and only the first 3 of those months didn't involve the constant worry that the bag was about to break. I have bags from Primark that have lasted longer!
Do people think that H & M would listen if I complained to them, or would they ignore me as it's been around 9 months since I bought the bag? I don't have the receipt (though I think I paid by card and should be able to hunt down the statement), but the bag has the H & M logo in it so there's no doubt it's from there.
What should I do? Take the bag back? Email someone and complain? Just forget about it and throw the bag away? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hi,
I think it is definatly contacting H & M about the bag.
I bought a leather bag from New Look which was only about £25 and it had a horrible odour to it, guess it was something to do with the leather. Anyway I wrote to them and recieved a letter back saying just to take the bag back with the letter and they would refund, I didn't need my reciept either. I had only had the bag about 1 and half months before contacting them but it is worth try.
I would go with writing/e-mailing rather than actually taking the bag back though.
Good luck0
