Laptops Direct

Hi, can anyone please help. I bought a laptop from Laptops Direct its a Lenova G550, T6600. It was purchased on 18th Feb. The @ function is not found in its proper position on the keyboard. It is found where the " is above the 2. Can this be fixed by myself or is this a faulty system. I have tried to phone the number Laptops Direct gave me for Lenovo's technical help, but they do not deal with this notebook. I sent an email to Laptops Direct explaining the fault and that the phone number was incorrect. They replied by sending me a link to their returns page on their website. As I have only one day left in the 28 day period for using the Sale of Good Act 1979 help is required fairly urgently.

Sounds like a US keyboard. You can change the mapping in the Control panel

Hi, depending on what OS is installed XP/Vista/Win7, you will find the options in 'Control Panel' (start/settings/control panel) then click on Regional Settings. Change the language to United Kingdom and Keyboard Layout to UK and save. This should do the trick.

Thanks IBZ75, all sorted now, changed keyboard to United Kingdom in windows 7.
