ebay messages getting bounced back

Hi
Several times when i respond to a message it keeps bouncing back to me.

This am i am trying to respond to an "irate" buyer who's parcel hasn't arrived (it was posted on the 2nd march and basically message states if i dont contact them they are going to report me to ebay!) i have sent message twice now but instantly get it bounced back to my email (i never tick the box to send me a copy) so not sure if they are getting it (dont want to send too many as they may think i'm taking the mick lol!).

TIA

I assume you are sending it through ebay? in which case I would assume ebay will have some records of at least the attempts. Contact ebay customer service and see what they say. Don't hold your breath whilst you wait for a response though!

So why don't you tick that box? That at least creates a trail for futurte reference etc............

It will get bounced if you tray and send an email addy in the message.
  • Why not send a copy of your email to their personal email? Explain that you seem to be having a problem with your ebay emails (hint that its happening with various buyers not just them) and that you're sorry if its duplicating but you wanted to make sure it got through.

Their email address should be on the ebay email you got when they bought the item or try their paypal email address if you can't find that.

That way you can cover yourself but you will still have the ebay one as proof.

If you type the word DOT in where applicable you can get round that ;)

Yes i am sending it through ebay and both are showing in my messages sent in my ebay.
But not sure if buyer has got a copy.
    Will try customer service.
  • Some people are actually divs enough not to read their ebay messages.

Try their email address, it can't hurt.

Good luck with customer service! Hope your query is on their 'script' or you won't get an answer that actually applies :D

It's not the full stop that holds the message back, it's the @ symbol :p

Same thing applies though, type AT where applicable.

Yes I also get this and I do not tick the box for a copy either. I get emails saying "xyz" has replied to your question and I'm like but I AM "XYZ" and it wasn't me that asked the question! Who knows why it happens. I never know if anyone gets any of my replies. Sometimes it's obvious they do, but not always. At least now I know it's not just me.

Or just leave a gap in appropriate places works too...:)

Well she must have received at least one.
I sent another to her email addy asking her if she would mind letting me know if she had received the ebay messages and i got a "ok thanks" through ebay.
Am expecting a neg though as although i responded to her message within mins of her sending it i had cleared out my PP account about 10 mins before:eek: so although i have refunded she will have to wait 7-9 days (cant understand why it takes that long!) for funds from bank account so dont think she will be a happy bunny.
