Most places city centre are quite expensive. When my parents come to visit they always stay at the Dolby on Albert dock.

There are loads of holiday inn type places but I couldn't tell you how much they cost.

If you need any advice on how far placs are from clubs etc when you choose then feel free to give me a shout, have been a student here for over 4 years :-)
  • Last time I was in Liverpool for a birthday weekend, I stayed at The Renshaw hotel. Its a small boutique hotel in the centre of Liverpool.
Rated number one of B&Bs on Tripadvisor, I was put off when I looked at the rates on the website as they showed up as £120 per night. But, alas, I called up and booked a twin room for one night (didnt have the breakfast option) and was charged approx £60. Which is a bargain when you think that Premier Inns etc are around £90. I had a look at hotels for this stay and they were around £100+ and not particularly modern, trendy or nice, so this was definately the best one.

Its smack bang in the middle of the city centre, four mins walk from the train station. The rooms are boutique style, modern and very luxurious. Ive stayed in 5* hotels all over the world and definately think this hotel is a bit of a hiden gem, especially for its price. Thats only £30 per person if you book a twin, which is pretty good. There is also a cool ipod connector dock thingy and a cool flatscreen TV for your music, good for when you and the girls are getting ready to go out! The hotel is quite small, only 16 rooms I think, on the main road (but quiet as it goesup and back of the building) and next to a restaurant.
I cant post links, but the website is boutiquehotelliverpool. co.uk

Hope that helps, have fun in Liverpool.
Lovin Boots and other bargainous places!

    Hi

Try Travelodge - I work in Liverpool and there is a Travelodge at the end of Dale St - which is City Centre. I have stayed there several times and its handy for family rooms.

There is also a Premier Inn City Centre if you cant get in Travelodge. xx
  • *makes mental note about the Renshaw for weekend in Liverpool with OH which she is planning to book for April/May*

Laterooms.com normally has some good deals so might be worth looking there. Ditto the secret hotels on Lastminute.com.

If you're prepared to be further out of town I have heard that the Anfield B&B is quite good and cheap (£35 a night each).

I stopped at the Premier Inn at Albert Docks back in November. We got a good rate as we stopped 2 nights (one included a Sunday). It was £90 for the two night. I'd definately recommend it.

I live in Liverpool and having booked both the Marriott and the premier inn at the albert dock I'd say go for the albert dock! A taxi to the city centre should be about £5 from the docks.

Eating out - try Nandos or Red Hot Buffet (be sure to book ahead) (Liverpool One) or the Tai Pan on the dock road (about £10 taxi from the docks but very worth it!)

Clubs - Try Concert Square/Matthew Street

Debt so far: Natwest Overdraft -
    [STRIKE]£1250[/STRIKE] £0, Barclays Overdraft - £1500
    , Abbey Overdraft -
    [STRIKE]£750[/STRIKE] £0, Car finance - £3000 :(
