Dual Mass Flywheel Replacement

Hi,
My partner has a Golf TDI. The clutch has started slipping in 5th gear so i need to get it replaced.
Her car has 68k on the clock and has not had the flywheel replaced previously. She has a warranty through Warrantywise that covers the flywheel (and wear & tear).
What i am considering is calling up Warranty Direct to suggest that as the garage will be dropping the gearbox in order to change the clutch that the flywheel be changed as well - we split the labour and the cost of the flywheel 50/50. Potentially, we are both taking a gamble - we both stand to gain/lose depending on the potential life of the DMF.
A worthwhile phone call or a waste of time?

The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits

A waste of time. There is nothing wrong with the flywheel and therefore they will not pay out.0

No point - they are in the business of making money - not paying out just in case.
Chances are if the DMF fails anyway they will find a way to avoid paying out especialy at 90K +0
