I have booked two rooms in travelodge manchester but have since found out I am unable to go, is it possible for someone else to use these rooms or do they ask for identification on check in?
Thanks

In their T&C it does state that you`re not allowed to sell/give your booking to someone else.
On these boards there has been many a discussion about this, including selling on Ebay.
Also what could happen to a room (trashing it) by selling to a stranger and you left holding the baby.
My own view is this: If you have a friend or relation you can trust then "give" the booking to them.
Travelodge usually ask your surname and 1st line of address when checking in.
Remember it`s against the T&C of your booking to sell/give it away.0 -
Like the above poster says, people do sell rooms on ebay, but you take a risk, as your card has been used to make a booking and any extra charges will be taken off your card. If they smoke in the room, the time the room is out of action due to being "deep cleaned" will be charged and you will incurr charges for the extra cleaning. There was a thread recently where a person kindly booked an Etap room for a friend and had extra money taken off their card for soilded sheets and the person setting off the fire alarm. I personally wouldn't risk selling it to a stranger.0

I take it you booked the Saver rooms which are not refundable? If you booked a Flexi room then it could be changed......0

Here is the recent thread , where the "friend" incurred extra charges on the OPs card.0
