Moving House, energy supplier help needed!
Options
Help! Hopefully (!) I am about to move house, I need to choose a gas and electricity supplier - how do I decide who to go with? I have no idea how much electricity or gas I will be using, I don't know whether to have separate suppliers or to have one supplier do both. How do I decide? My new place is a semi, new build with 4 bedrooms (small bedrooms!!). I pay for the gas in my current house (£75/month standing order) - but this house is much bigger - so hopefully my bills in the new place will be less. Can anyone help me please?
Thanks!!

When you move in, the property will already have a supplier for gas and for electric. It may be the same company, or it may be two different companies. When you move in, take a meter reading and phone the supplier(s) to register. Once you've registered, you can either stay with the supplier(s) that are there, or move to another company. This usually takes 4-6 weeks and you'll have to pay for the energy you have used from the day you move in to the day you leave the present supplier(s).0
