Condensation inbetween double glazing

As in title, Not sure when it started but it's been like that since I moved in 18 months ago. Think the double glazing is failed as gettin drafts and not getting the sound proofing.

Any ideas how this is fixxed, Have noticed it in 2 large windows and it's in 2 of my patio doors as well. Got a horrible feeling it's going to be costly to repair ? :(

not 100% sure, but don't think it is a repair, but more of a replace!

the frames may be ok, but will probably need new glass units.

I've had misted dg windows, caused by breakdown of seals. They should be replaced free if still under warranty. If not try a local dg company, get a couple of quotes.

The replacement job is pretty quick once the new glass is on site. They just 'spring' the internal beads, flip out the old pane, fit the new one and then replace the beads.

Whilst they're doing it ask them to check internal drains are working correctly as these can 'bung up'.

You don't need to go to a double glazing company. They will charge you the earth. Ring your local glass merchants. They will do supply and fit. A 3' x4' is about £90. Its a common problem with double glazed units. You are right to get it fixed as it is no longer acting as double glazing. Its afffectively now a single pain of glass!

We have just had this done, large downstairs bay window was misted up since we moved into this house. DH knew someone who has a dg business. He came on a Sat morning and replaced the glass and resealed and also replaced a pane of glass in my sons bedroom as it was cracked. Supply and fit for both windows came to £400. The downstairs window is very large and the upstairs one was quite small.

So glad we've had it done as we could hardly see out. We need new units really but cant afford that yet.
