Home Office Have Lost All My Personal Details

Hi All,

In Quarter 1 of 2009 I applied for naturalisation to become a british citizen.

I recently sent a letter to ask for an update, and today got back from work to open a letter from the Home Office stating "We are currently dealing with your application, however it appears that your naturalisation application has gone astray within this department at the present time".

They are now asking me to provide photocopies of my foreign passport and to also complete the full allpication again which they enclosed.

I am extremly unhappy with this as my personal details have been lost, god knows where they are.

I feel so strongly to cancel the application and ask for a full refund.

Can someone please advise me on the refund and whether I will be able to get this back?, and whether anyone hs been through the same experience.

sorry cant be of help, but if you feel so strongly then I would cancel your naturalisation.

Dear Home Office

You have made such a mess of my application to become British, that I have reconsidered and I no longer wish to have citizenship of such an innefficient country. Please refund my application fees.
