Bought some steak mince from Sainsurys and found a sharp piece of metal about 1cm long and 1.5mm wide would have been pretty nasty if eaten

Just check your mince before using its from slaughterhouse UK 4073 EU on the label (A B P Ltd The Abattoir, Hordley, Ellesmere, Shropshire, SY12 9BL)

Have contacted environmental health and they are picking up tomorrow, dont want anyone to get hurt

Have you contacted Sainsbury's themselves? I imagine they'd be fairly keen to get the affected meat off the shelf until its been investigated. Customer careline is 0800 63 62 62, can't remember if they're open this late, but if not contact the store, I imagine someone will be there still.

Yeah i contacted the helpline but they didn't seem in any sort of rush and said drop it at the store when its convenient they didn't want to take batch numbers or anything, i thought EH would be the best bet not so sure now , just don't want anyone else injured

I would have thought food goes through a metal detector before despatched ?
