A word of warning if your claim is with FOS

I have just had a call from one of the Banks I have a CC claim with the FOS - as we speak with an adjudicator.
They told me I could be eligible for frozen payments/reduced interest.
I have @ £1000 on the card and manage the payments. SO I am wondering if it is a ploy whereby if I had said yes, please freeze interest, they could go back and say to FOS, the customer is in financial difficulty therefore the PPI was not mis-sold.
Maybe I am off track but I don't trust them at all!!!!!!!!!!
