Centre for alternative technology (wales)

Just wondering if anyone has visited the centre for alternative technology in Machynlleth (sp?). We're holidaying in Wales next week and we're hoping to pay a visit. Any tips and ideas would be appreciated. Also does anyone know if there's enough going on there to keep a four year old and ten year old happy?
Thanks,
soba

It's years since I went there, but it was interesting. There's a website which might answer your questions:

I went there years ago and from what i remember there are lots of hands on activities for the kids to enjoy.

If you have any Blue Peter badges your children get in free.
I'm sure your kids will enjoy the cliff railway - powered entirely by water. All sorts of hands on exhibits.
From memory, the cafe food was really nice, organic I think.
Theres a lovely seaside town nearby about 10min drive to Aberdovey.
    Have a great time.

Sounds a good reason for me to go again, pyran (although I have no BP badges)!

We (two adults) went there a few years ago and found it fascinating. I'd visit the website first to check its your cup of tea. We've taken my children in the past, and they've always enjoyed it.
