If you're doing a new notice to newcomers, why not make the starter post from Pania a bit more modern, then save as a jpeg so its easier to just copy to the front of each page?

Sure we could modernise it a little - I notice someone has already tweaked it and removed the incorrect info about reporting in the left corner when it was in the right corner :rotfl:

I think it'd look nicer, modernised - kinda like a new coat of paint

I vote for that - it would be so much easier to copy and paste that way as well as looking better. I noticed someone had changed the abuse 'triangle' to the '! Abuse' sign but that it still referred to the left instead of the right side of the page so I changed that. Do we need a Committee Meeting about it - I'll do the minutes of the committee meeting - done lots of that in the past

Been a muggy overcast day here today but got a bit of gardening done in my daughters little garden. The chillies and pumpkin (my grand-daughter planted this so she can use it for Halloween) are coming on well but the peppers are not growing very much, otherwise it's all coming along nicely.

Just going to get the washing is before the BUGS come out!

cos tweetie is too big so therefore loses the .gif element. Wait til numpty comes along, he will resize it for you allowing it to become a moving gif for you.

I mean, nothing too major - just a simple case of tidying it up and leaving it in a prominent font, such as the example below....

I personally think that the fancy pinks/browns and italic font makes it harder to read ergo more confusing..... just an opinion, but black normal verdana should do the trick.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll?
A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made. If you should get such a comment made on any thread you post, asking for help and advice, please realise this comment is not directed at you personally so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal because the majority of us really are a lovely bunch – ooops, modesty!

What should I do if I get a comment made on my thread?
Firstly do not respond to the comment as this is invariably what the troll wants. So to get rid of the offending post, at the bottom of the post towards the right hand side you’ll see a red "Warning" triangle within a blue “Abuse” icon, as shown below:

Click the icon and then "send" the message which will inform the abuse team of the post, who will then review its content and deal with it as appropriate; sometimes even deleting the troll by making their status PPR’d (Posting Privileges Removed). Remember, this site is an asset to so many people, especially those that feels like their world is falling in around them. There is a wealth of knowledgeable people here all willing to help, whatever you do, do not let the comments of one silly individual deter you from availing yourself of the knowledge base that is on offer here.
