*phew* I've just met your help criteria by 1 post :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::D

Don't worry, i've already read all your posts more than once...... sorry but there is another way to get the regulars to fall out -- try and be one then cause damage from the inside - seen it 100's of times before and i've only been here a year.

Glad you're not taking offence but for the same respect, keep your guard up if you are one (a troll) cos we'll catch you - we always do, its just a matter of when! ;);)

Why am I the only one to notice that half the usual suspects are missing, whenever we get an influx of newbies showing an overly excessive eagerness to stick within the thread? :D

Just to make sense of why i'm gabbling, I got an email with a link to a banks website which asked me to log-in, the log in details were provided in the PM - to prove authenticity I s'pose.

To my horror is a half hearted legal threat telling me to stop quoting the banks name. Since then, however I have found 3 employees that work for the bank - not one of them admitted it, but stopped posting once I accused them.

Now, to me there is only one way the banks got to know so much about me, from my own past experience in working for internal fraud and governance within banks, they do not invest money for staff to go and head-hunt a user on a forum.

Something is amiss right now, god knows what but something just aint right.

    Oh before I forget.....

Dear XXXXXX & XXXXXXX bank - regards to your silly legal threat - you can shove it up your arsey cos I aint scared of you! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Now time I was outta ere...... :D

Just no pleasin' some folk - i pay you a wee compliment and this is how you repay me! :rotfl::rotfl:only kidding!

I'm not a troll, feel free to do whatever searches you need to or whatever it is that gets done behind the scenes.

    Hiya

Thanks for being so grown up, you're right I don't think you're a troll right now - however if you see my post above, someone is trying to cause something - why try and get me with a legal threat? I mean whoever conjured that plan needs a slap and some!

But in all serious, something isn't right and i'll stick to my main two threads until i'm happy. I did quit yesterday, fermi talked me round with some things he suggested. Top Bloke :D

Thanks Tixy... i'll try that but.... i dunno how to take it from here and add it in my avatar thingy.

And just for anyone that may be thinking it, i am not a troll. I was on this site a few years ago, never even knew this debtfree board existed. I just found it one day after watching martin lewis on tv and his swappin utilities etc, signed up thats all there is to it. I changed Isp so lost my email addresses, and then couldnt remember my login details, and as my email addy went along with my isp, i couldnt retrieve my details. I am more than happy for anyone to PM me and ask me any (almost any) personal details and i will happily assist. End of!

StudentPhil - I missed you :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

He was classic, some of his fighting was amazing, I always backed him - when he used to cause bother with the idiots of the forum, but basically there was a rumour that he was an MSE employee out to keep the arms in full swing - yea right!! he was just a nutter with a great sense of humour, to me :D:D

We miss you SP - coooooommmmmeeeee baaaaaaaccccckkkkkk :rotfl:

Time for another one of these....

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

Welcome to the debt free wannabe board. A great place for seeking advice and inspiration and support on getting out of debt. Please read the above in case you come across one of the very few trolls or more frequent spammers that come our way.

Please join in and bump Fred to page one if he is found lost and wandering - Thank you:)

I always rather liked the theory of a bunch of students having a laugh - nobody could be as naive as studentphil claimed to be, still a great laugh though.
