I see you're promoting your silly Facebook fan club again then Spikey?

Listen, whilst I feel slightly for the longer members that no longer post here, I don't think going on about it achieves much - there could be a host of reasons why they no longer post. Also, newbies are as welcome as older members, however I am a firm believer that we should allow and appreciate the newer members, some of them have a lot to offer.

You mention the old posters had a laugh in the arms, sorry mate but the arms is an irrelevant part of the forum that IMO should be closed, all it does is warrant bickering, accusations and b!tchiness. Really, it serves no purpose. We are on a money saving site, ergo all boards should IMO be money oriented.

If you want to revive the oldies and reminisce be my guest, but not all the older posters were actually useful to the forum, in any shape or manner. ;)

    Just my personal observations. :D

Hubbie and I have been invited on holiday as guests of my cousin & her husband to celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary - she has hired the Royal Scotsman/Orient Express for a 5 day tour of Scotland with everything included (accomm, food, drinks, entertainment) so all we have to pay for is travel up to Edinburgh, kennels fees for 3 dogs, some flashy clothes, and any spending we might need on excursions including private tasting at whisky distillery, the laird as a guide around his castle, etc - we have checked it out online and it is superb - just waiting for the brochure my cousin posted to us today so we can start drooling over it !!!!

To say the least, we are really looking forward to it - we haven't had a holiday for about 5 years and couldn't see us getting one any time soon, but this is one of those 'dream trips' so we just can't believe it yet ..

That holiday sounds fabulous 3dogs, I am so jealous but also happy for you as it sounds like it's a much deserved holiday...puts my camping weekend with borrowed camping gear to shame!! :rotfl: :D The scenery from the train will be outstanding, Scotland is lovely (and I'm not just saying that because it's my neck of the woods honest!) :D

Afternoon all - grey, grimble, cold and windy here today :(:(, but spoon is bright and cheerful despite that:):)

    Hope everyone is well today.

Off to do some lovely housework now, so will see you all later.
