Oooh, you'll be right at home here, 3Dogs, some of us are great at making lists too:rotfl::rotfl:
    :)

I have lists on making lists... :o
(there's always tomorrow :shhh: That info is classified.)
    Its tea:T:j:j3Dogs

It's tea for me too (unless I've the posh telephone voice on).

And I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bored of surveys at the moment. Any-one else find (if they're not screened out!) that, as it drags on, you are hitting random butttons, hoping the end is nigh! (Though I love the 2 minute 50p ones. That's a good return!)

Cheers for the clicks info Numpty. Though do think I've somehow mucked up cashback on my hotel booking I just completed. Who knows what I've done (or not done). Having a muppet day!

Hello all, just catching up on the thread before beddy byes (work tomorrow, blooming early). Aye oop 3 Dogs, nice to see a fellow Fen Tiger on here. I was born in the Bowthorpe Maternity Hospital (long since demolished) and now I'm exiled oop north but we do occasionally get back to the Fens to see relatives, and my dad gets a stock of steak pies in for us from Gagens butchers.
Horace - glad you are recovering from the lurgy. Tixy - there are times when I don't get much of a break at work, depends what business is like. I certainly appreciate my days off, though. And a good evening to Numpty, Nic, Solvent and any other of the gang who may be lurking.

If you come out of Central station down the steps, then you'd need to turn left or you'd be right where you think you'll be (Jamaica Street).

If you come out the front of the station (past the steps on the right) onto Gordon Street, then my directions should be ok. If you're staying at the hotel on George Square, next to Queen St station, it's an easy enough walk (assuming you travel light :D). Any further than that and you can get away with a taxi. Though pretend you know where you're going so they take you the shortest possible route - even if you have to fake a limp so they don't scowl at you :rotfl:.

    Enjoy! :D

Sorry forgot to say the hotel is in TheatreLand... :o:o

I'll probs get cab from queens to hotel, unless its 5 mins away like! I dunno - am confused.... heeeeeelp please :p:p:p

Actually Nargle, you couldn't have it more wrong :rotfl:we are from the North though a bit further than you are now I think (we are Geordies pet) and we had to move down here 'cause of hubbie's work about 25 years ago - so we do the visiting the other way round to you as our family is all up there. We do love the Fens though but it is a lot different from the North East - FLAT isn't it!!

Nice to hear from you - cheers

Are you getting into Queens Street station rather than Central? If you're getting into Queens Street, it'd be a shorter walk than being stuck in a taxi in the one-way system.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

Hello:wave: and welcome to any newbies and lurkers out there trying to pluck up the courage to post and share your problems. There are loads of lovely helpful people on here willing to help you and give you some good advice. Please read the note above and try to ignore any deliberately hurtful posts. Trolls feed on attention, if you ignore them they usually go away.
Good luck with your debt-free journey:)
