Handyman - what can I say other than your posts remind me of a member of my family who was in service to one of the English houses in Ireland before Ireland became independent. Very similar tales, tbh, not much has changed in 90 years:eek:.
Agree with Allie, you should write a book - you've got a great writing style.
We tried to persuade my family member to at least talk into a recorder about the things they did/saw/remember so that we could write it down, but no way.
You rant away anytime - we all need an outlet to vent into.
