Good trip home Numpty? Good news on the yougov cheque. Did anyone who is interested see that AQA are recruiting at the moment?

A heavy book is my way of handling large spiders (if they are those really quick ones sometimes a burst of hairspray to slow them down before the book treatment!). The little ones I live and let live.

I had my meal cooked for me nicca, must have looked hungry when I turned up at the folks :rotfl:Are you not near enough to family to try the same?

Just wondering if I can afford a holiday this year.

When I first lived alone I used to see a spider in a room and simply not go in that room for a day or 2 (used to sleep on the sofa or in the spare room sometimes). It was more awkward when the spid was in the bathroom though.

Bro bought one of those grabbers but I don't like to be touching the object at the same point it touches the spider, hence the dropping of books (no chance of it leaping round the book and biting me).

    Hi folks,

I'm totally with you on the spider thing, although my daughter is worse than me so I have to drum up the courage from somewhere to get rid of hers, don't know where I get it from as she has some whoppers. I don't like anything like that, insects etc I'm like a nervous wreck in the summer when all sorts of things are flying around especially the June bugs, they really freak me out, big browm furry flying things with crunchy backs _pale_

See you all in the morning, happy spam/trollzapping!
I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt TE=Tixy;32780723]crisis

Welcome to the debt free wannabe board. A great place for seeking advice and inspiration and support on getting out of debt. Please read the above in case you come across one the very few trolls or more frequent spammers that come our way.

Please join in and bump Fred to page one if he is found lost and wandering :D
