Sorry, what was that you said Tixy... an elephant bracelet? Where, where?

(oh b*gger, you just reminded me I immersed jewellery in coca cola the other day to clean it... guess I've also tested whether or not it was the real deal, given I forgot all about it!!!)

It was a wooden one on asos and came with 2 others (without elephants), and not sure how nice it was but you know, see elephants think nicca. Actually probably don't put elephant bracelet into ebay - 285 items - though many of them are definitely not nice (but a few are very nice!)

Okay I will stop leading you astray now. I have written 4 items down which I am thinking about buying. If I still want them by the weekend I will think about which to choose. Restraint.

Have you seen pictures of the elephant parade in London at the moment (my mother was in London yesterday and kept buzzing photos to my phone!). You can buy little ones (from £6.95 to £200) but they are auctioning off the real ones (4ft tall) in a couple of months. Mother was momentarily excited before realising they were probably going to go for well over £5k each :rotfl:

Ooh no! Guess what I am off to do now...

(I have just been on the phone to my Dad trying to help him set up his wireless printer - we have the same one - since he upgraded his laptop. I think I might as well have been speaking to my 3 year old nephew. Actually, he probably wouldhave istend more. Suffice to say, the wireless bit is still not working!)

:rotfl: That makes it sound like I'm a techie! I absolutley am not. But I am slightly more advanced (or perhaps the word is patient!) than my Dad!

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

Welcome to the debt free wannabe board. A great place for seeking advice and inspiration and support on getting out of debt. Please read the above in case you come across one the very few trolls or more frequent spammers that come our way.

Please join in and bump Fred to page one if he is found lost and wandering on page 2 or 'horror of horrors' page 3 :rotfl:
