What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
Welcome to the debt free wannabe board. A great place for seeking advice and inspiration and support on getting out of debt. Please read the above in case you come across one the very few trolls or more frequent spammers that come our way.
Please join in and bump Fred to page one if he is found lost and wandering on page 2 or 'horror of horrors' page 3 :rotfl:

Good evening all, love the white puddy tat, but where's Blofeld? One life - your life - live it!0

What a genius cat!
The kitchen is now spotless, even the cooker and fridge have been cleaned and all veg that needs to be used up asap chopped up so I've no lazy excuses!
The bedroom is still a mess and there is still only one thing on turbo-lister :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
Sorted out sewing courses and paid them up, though they don't tase the money for the next few weeks (once they know there's enough people to run the class) so I don't know whether to declare today as an NSD and keep an eye out for the money coming out of the account, or whether to count today as a spend day as I need to pretend that money is out already in order to make sure I don't spend it!
What do you think?
Blimey, nicca, you have been a busy bee:T
Re the sewing classes - think I'd be inclined to deduct the money as already spent - unless you're going to be spending tomorrow in which case you could deduct it then and only lose one NSD.....The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Oops, a bit over-zealous in the troll-busting, just hit the abuse button on one of my own posts :rotfl:.
I know I can talk nonsense for Britain, but I didn't realise even I was subliminally offended by it.

How bizarre... I am watching London on the telly (yes... more election stuff) and it's pitch black. It's still day light here in Glasgow. Not even twilight yet!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Odd nicca (its pitch dark blue here and as you know I am in the middle!)
Love reporting your own posts.:rotfl:
I would like to say I am certainly not looking at lots of clothes online and thinking which new tops would suit. However if I did say such a thing I could be accused of fibbing.:oA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Twilight now... very, very soon to be pitch dark
I quite understand Tixy. I too never look at new clothes online and could also be accused of porkies if I were to suggest that I might while away my time doing such a thingJan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55
