Hope your day at work tomorrow goes OK

Hi 3Dogs - Nargle is right, if you're not feeling better by Tuesday, would think about going to the Docs. Hope the clicking is going OK

Hi Handyman - hope you've enjoyed your day off, sounds as though it's well-deserved:T

Hope everyone else is well - off to update the NSD thread, I may be some time......

    Good Morning All

Quick kitchen related question - does anyone have gloss laminate worktop? if so have you found it scratches easily.? The guy in the kitchen shop was trying to convince me to have matt.

Off to the gym shortly (as had a food fest of pizza and hot chocolate souffle yesterday evening!)

    Good bumping All

Mine's is gloss... I find it a pain in the neck to wipe down as water tends to form in droplets and look awful. My lodger seems to manage to scratch it a fair bit- but I'm not sure he's figured out what a chopping board is for!
HShello121_17949.gif fellow trollzappers - new piccie to play with:)

3Dogs - sorry you're still not feeling well, and yes, it's pretty damn chilly today:(

Numpty - well done on getting rid of the virus:T

Carol - great bumping skills as always

Tixy - gloss worktops do scratch - a friend of mine has them - but so do matt ones, gloss just shows them up more. Matt are definitely more practical. Hope the gym trip went OK

nicca - hope you had a good pre-birthday bash yesterday - maybe that's why you haven't put an appearance in so far;)

And hi to everyone else, hope you are all well on a cold, grey, overcast Sunday

It's absolutely why I've been awol. Realised I'd been up for 24 hours in a row - without so much as a coffee! But perhaps a few bottles of beer more than usual ;) And spent most of the day running about with children and most of the night dancing. So today I decided to catch up on some much needed sleep! All back to normal tomorrow I hope!

Hi all, handyman is turning in soon, but before I go another little bed time story.

I've just finished watching Dog Soldiers on C5, (horror about werewolves) and it reminded me of a few years ago when we had our Grandson to stay. He was 16 at the time 6ft 4 and 14 st. (Big Lad - Gentle Giant).

He had been helping me clear an overgrown area in the local churchyard, some of the old graves had been ivy and bramble covered for 50 years or more. Now my Grandson is the nervous type and wouldnt stay in the churchyard on his own when I needed to go and get the petrol can for the strimmer.

That night we were watching the late film, (Dog Soldiers) when all of a sudden we heard a moaning, whimpering and a howl. He lept of the sofa, what the hecks that he said, I laughed it was sapper the chocy lab lying behind the sofa, dreaming of chasing rabbits.:rotfl:

Well night all, hope you have a good Bank Holiday, see you bin the morning, handyman123.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I can just imagine Sapper whimpering away in his sleep :D.

My folks have now found out they are getting the girly pup - she'll be called Lexi but she can't leave her mum until the end of the month... about time I arranged a visit home to co-incide methinks! :D (poor folks, I never go to visit them, just the dogs ;).)

Thanks Nargle and Spoon for your concern but it is an ongoing problem and I do see the doc every month - my tablets mess me up sometimes I think - you know the drill, you have to take tablets to counteract the effects of other tablets, and so on

Nicca we are looking forward to a piccie of Lexi when your mam & dad get her

Well, after a few interuptions making tea & whatever, I've done all my clicks and I am now off to bed - hope it's warmer tomorrow - it is chucking it down outside rght now so I hope the rain goes away too - OK maybe asking for too much with warm and dry so I will settle for dry

Night Night all - oh, and did I miss something - is Niddy away again - if not, he is very quiet not like him

Hi 3Dogs, glad you're OK and it's all under control.. sometimes tablets can just play havoc for no real reason...

And, yes, dry would be good.... although a bit warmer would also be good - after all it is May now, isn't it.... or have we suddenly reverted to February again:(:(

Niddy is very quiet - definitely not like him

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

Welcome to the debt free wannabe board. A great place for seeking advice and inspiration and support on getting out of debt. Please read the above in case you come across one the very few trolls or more frequent spammers that come our way.

If you find this thread has dropped off page 1 then please do join in and 'bump' us back to the top. :D[/I]
