Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

Welcome to the debt free wannabe board. A great place for seeking advice and inspiration and support on getting out of debt. Please read the above in case you come across one the very few trolls or more frequent spammers that come our way.

If you find this thread has dropped off page 1 then please do join in and 'bump' us back to the top. :D

Evening All, handyman here, hope eveyone has had a good day. Car Booting, Dog walking, Fixing Kitchens, as for me I have had a day off. Not something that happens to often. It was to cold to work in the Garden, so just went for a few hours window shopping. I have my old car to clean up soon, ready to sell, its amazing how much gear you can get from poundland!

I wont find it as quite next weekend as I am off oop north decorating again, I recon another 2 long weekends will complete the repair and redecoration of my aging relatives house. The local council want me to widen a driveway that has been there for 40 years as it doesnt conform with current regs. More fun.

Anyhow best wishes to all for now, If I can keep off the scrumpy tonight I may see you on the night shift.

Evening all, It the handyman again. I can smell Nargles home made bread from here, Hi 3 Dogs, good to see your avi working again. Glad you and DH liked the cat story.

Before I go I must tell you what Sapper my Chocy lab did today.

I have him trained to walk into the village every Saturday morning, I tuck a fiver at the back of his collar, he goes into the news agents and they take it in payment for my papers.

Today I didnt have any change, so I put a £20 there. I said of you go lad bring back the change, and off he went.

Now I was busy, so all of a sudden I realised he had been gone an hour and a half. (normaly its only 20 - 25 mins).

I jumped in the car and went looking for him.
I eventually found him at the back of an alley near the newsagents. He was Inflagrante (doing the wild thing) with a very upmarket French Poodle.

I said whats up with you Lad, you've never done anything like this before.
He gave me that look that only a Labrodor can,
and said to me "well you've never given me 20 quid before"

Best wishes to all, happy troll busting and spam zapping, handyman123.

3Dogs, you have mentioned not feeling quite right for the past few days, if you are still not 100% come Tuesday, get thee to a quackery! In other words, down to your GP for an MOT. There are too many cases where people feel under the weather and ignore symptoms, then become really sick. Do it, or I'll nag you to death, and get the Trollzappers Union on your case!
