I chopped up a lot of fruit that was getting past its best. It's all now in the freezer... not sure what to do with it! But I'll be getting my veg box delivery tomorrow so figured I should eat the fresh stuff while wondering what to do with the old!

Nic - Chopped frozen fruit is nice in a jelly and helps it set much quicker too - I use sugar-free jellies and use less water than it says it make up for 'water' in fruit - or use it to make smoothies or milkshakes. The problem with frozen is it rarely goes back to it's normal state when thawed so you mostly have to use it in something.

Thank you 3dogs! It's good to get ideas that are not just smoothies! :D

:) HI all, handyman here wishing all the night owls all the best.
:( Can anyone suggest a good site or theread to have a good rant and let off some steam. My lady Boss HOORAY HENRIETTA, gave me a lecture today on personal finance as I was unloading 3 cases of wine from her car (the cheap stuff 36 x £7.00) she is the one who once said, "one must have over 3M properly invested, if one is to enjoy a civilised retirement").

I wish I could force her to spend an hour on this forum to make her understand how the other half live.

So if anyone can suggest where the handyman can go to Dump! his anger,
    suggestions welcome.

    All the best handyman123.

P.S. thats only enough wine for 1 dinner party and 2 weeks personal consumption for 2. If your posh your a bon vivour, if your poor your an alky.

   Bl**dy hell! And you didn't accidently drop any wine! What about smug superiority? Could you get away with that?

Otherwise, rant away here! I'll happily join in! I frequently rant about my boss on my diary - which is the toned down version of real-life ranting. She's also a mad women, but perhaps not so rich (though still completely unable to understand why I don't want to go for xmas/easter/whatever departmental lunch). (Which is, I have to say, where I'm actually glad to use the excuse "I can't afford it.")

quick bump from the bottom i think this thread needs some drawing pins or cellotape to stop it slipping down or even a sticky ?

Thanks Carol, but don't go mentioning drawing pins when Spoon is about - it will remind her of her awful day at work yesterday :D :rotfl: :D

The only problem if it was a sticky is what would us TrollZappers do then without our thread to [STRIKE]play with[/STRIKE] update ????

Yep, you're right there 3Dogs, I still have the image Smarty (can't call him Numpty any longer, he's passed his exam:D) planted in my head yesterday of drawing pins on someone's chair:rotfl:

Carol, there is a reason this thread isn't a sticky - newbies don't read the stickies so they wouldn't see the troll message, but they seem to read all the carp we spout all day judging by the number of views this thread gets - so seems the message gets through... Anyway, like 3Dogs says, what would we do with our time all day if we didn't come on here and pass the time of day with our fellow trollzappers:rotfl::rotfl:

Old bananas make brilliant ice cream, nicca. Slice them and freeze. When frozen (they don't set properly), whizz them up with some vanilla yoghurt and stick the mix back in the freezer - yum! About 4 bananas to one carton of Mooler light vanilla yog is around the right mixture, anything more is a bit strong.

I'm with you there nicca. Handyman, you rant away on here..... think I would have "accidentally" dropped one of the boxes but, knowing how people like that think, she'd probably have charged you for it:mad::mad:..

cheers niccatw, I feel better just for that little rant, If anyone wants to run away from there troubles try the foriegn legion, I'd tell them don't go into domestic service. There is a whole community out there that have no idea how the rest of us get by.

Example lady Hooray's daughter's Ex is a merchant banker who liked to knock her about. She cant understand why she didnt stay with ex as he's just bought a new Porche from his latest bonus. She cant possibly afford to bring up 2 children on a 1M settlement and 6K a month allowance.

I want to get out of here but our home goes with the Job. Pass me another prozack, I will wash it down with another scrumpy.

    Cheers, handyman123.

 Wish I'd won the triple rollover Handyman, I could have given you some of my "small change" to buy yourself a lovely wee place in the country! That sounds horrific! I think I'd be wearing a constant look of permanent bemused perplexity in your job!

And would need a punchbag in the garage (that I don't have) to destress!
